INDY 500 June 13, 2012 – Milwakee – The winner was Ryan Hunter-Reay, who also won at the Milwaukee Mile in 2004. This was his sixth career win. Tony Kanaan finished second with Hunter-Reay’s Andretti Autosport teammate, James Hinchcliffe, third. Andretti Sports Marketing, which Andretti co-owns, promoted the event known as Milwaukee IndyFest. The group saved the event from extinction, and the community seemed to embrace it. Before the race, Andretti announced that the event will return in 2013, drawing a roar from the crowd.
